Help an old engineer solve the problem of mydocument.exe folder icon Virus
Recently, a college teacher complained to me about her troubles. She had been struggling and her life had been disrupted. This was probably the case:
In her flash drive, she worked hard to prepare the course documents and put them in the flash drive. However, every time she was in class, she could not find the documents. Sometimes many files are modified, which is very troublesome.
After finding me for the first time, I looked at it carefully. It should be a folder icon virus. The general nature of this virus is to hide the real folder in the USB flash drive, and create an exe file with the same name as the folder, and use the folder icon to make the user unable to distinguish, thus frequent infection. In her situation, all files in the USB flash drive are stored in a folder named mydocumentand hidden. On the other hand, a file named mydocument.exe is generated and the icon is the icon of the folder.
What's hard about this? After the system hides the file, copy the file in the MyDocument folder and kill its USB flash drive. She was very happy to see that her file was restored.
But two days later, when she was in class, she couldn't open it again. It was estimated that it was another virus in the USB flash drive. Everyone in the university should feel the same way. There are various viruses in public computers such as classroom computers and printers. (A friend who wants to learn Security wants to find some old viruses and find them there. It should be interesting to catch them and feed them in a computer ).
What can I do? I can't always go to his class to get a virus killer, can I? I can't always go to print shops. Tell them: Install anti-virus software, update the operating system, and update the virus database ......
All of a sudden, I told myself why the virus had to be killed? Therefore, we simply studied the characteristics of the small virus named "extension mydocument.exe" and finally found a method.
The ultimate solution is as follows:
1.after the original USB flash drive displays the hidden system file, there will be two files: mydocumentfolder and mydocument.exe file.
2. Create an empty folder named "secure zone" under the MyDocument folder.
3. Create an empty folder named "secure zone" under the root directory of the USB flash drive.
4. In the future, all the file working files will be placed in the "Security Zone" folder under the root directory of the USB flash drive.
Simple explanation:
1. if the new file or folder is not placed in the "secure zone", click Refresh after the new file or folder is created, and the new file and folder will automatically go to The Mydocument folder. This is a little virus.
2. Put it in the "Security Zone" folder in the root directory of the USB flash drive. Why is it okay? Because we created a folder named "secure zone" in the MyDocument folder, we wanted to transfer the folder we created to MyDocument, however, because the MyDocument folder already contains a folder named "secure zone", the folder is closed. This is a small vulnerability of a small virus. When I say this, you should be able to think about how the code is written.
3. There are still virus files in the USB flash drive, and they exist. Since the virus on other computers cannot be killed at any time, it should coexist with it. Remember: Don't point it.
If you have encountered similar problems, try this method. However, this method should be more suitable for students and students, because it seems that there are academic competitions. In fact, many computers are still running XP, what about IE6.
