High-performance Computing Linux cluster common configuration

1. Check for Hyper-threading

To view the number of threads:grep siblings/proc/cpuinfo |uniq

To view the number of physical cores: grep cores/proc/cpuinfo |uniq

2. Check the operating system version

Cat/etc/redhat-release

Lsb_release-a

3. Check the file system

Df-th

4. Turn off SELinux

Edit Profile: Vi/etc/sysconfig/selinux

Confirmation file is: Confirm selinux=disabled

5. Turn off the firewall

Purge Firewall rule: iptables-f

Turn off firewall/etc/init.d/iptables stop

Turn off firewall boot: chkconfig iptablesoff

See if Iptalbes is open: chkconfig–list | grep iptables

6, view NFS version, V4 unstable, recommended with V3 version

Cat/etc/sysconfig/nfs

7. Create user

GROUPADD-G model

useradd-d/public/home/model-u 200-g 200-s/bin/csh model

8. Configure the Yum source

Copy all the contents of the ISO image file to/public/software/cdrom.

After you have configured Yum, use the following command to install the underlying software.

Yum Install FTP wget
