Today, many problems occurred when I opened Ubuntu Linux under VMware. Because I modified a lot of configurations, I found that there were too many memory allocations.
I allocated 4G memory to it, but it cannot be used in xwindows. Only the character interface can be entered.
My environment is Windows 64-bit. The host has 8 GB of memory. Intel e8200 CPU. VMware Workstation 8.02 is installed on it. The official original version is installed. Do not turn it into Chinese! The risk of localization is too high.
In the evening, I am going to read the source code in Linux and find that xwindows is not supported. You can enter the terminal interface.
Finally, I found that the Ubuntu version I installed is 32-bit. If it is allocated more than 3.5 GB of memory in VMware, it will be unable to get into xwindows. The interface is as follows:
Character terminal mode can be entered, but the speed is also slow.
Due to the 4.3 GB memory Configuration:
Changed to 3.5 GB. However, if it is not a virtual machine, Ubuntu Linux supports more than GB of memory. So I don't know if this is a VMware bug?
