How does one enable or disable the ARCHIVELOG mode of oracle ?, Oraclearchivelog
1. Connect to the database as an administrator

2. Check whether the current archive mode is archive or non-archive.
SQL> archive log list;Database log mode No Archive ModeAutomatic archival DisabledArchive destination USE_DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DESTOldest online log sequence 228Current log sequence 230
3. Shut down the database
SQL> shutdown immediate;Database closed.Database dismounted.ORACLE instance shut down.
4. Start the database to the mount status.
SQL> startup mount;ORACLE instance started.Total System Global Area 3423965184 bytesFixed Size 2180544 bytesVariable Size 2013268544 bytesDatabase Buffers 1392508928 bytesRedo Buffers 16007168 bytesDatabase mounted.
5. Start the archive Mode
SQL> alter database archivelog; Note: if an error is reported here, you need to turn off the flashback log. SQL> select flashback_on from v $ database; SQL> alter database flashback off; Database altered. 6. Start the database
SQL> alter database open;Database altered.
7. Disable archive Mode
