I. Setting up the Client Network Utility |
Click "Start"-"Programs" and select "Client Network Utility" from the "Microsoft SQL Server" menu. |

Click "Add" in the "aliases" option. |

In the "Server alias", fill in your website domain name, in the "Network Library" area, click "TCP/IP", in the "Connection parameters" area to cancel "Dynamic decision port", specify "port number" is 2433. Once completed, click the "OK" button to save the configuration. |

Two. Use of Enterprise Manager |
Click Start-Programs, and in the Microsoft SQL Server menu, open Enterprise Manager. In Enterprise Manager, right-click SQL Server Group and select New SQL Server registration. |

The SQL Server Properties window appears, populate the server with the domain name of your site, select "Use SQL Server Authentication", "Login" and "password" are populated with the username and password in the host-enabled message, and then click OK. |

Once the connection is successful, you will see that there is a server in the SQL Server group with the name of your site. At this point, you can manage the Web site database just like you do with a local SQL database. |

Precautions |
If a time-out error occurs when connecting, change the time-out by tapping tools-options. |
|
In the Properties window, select the Advanced tab and set the login timeout value to 0. |
