Free transformationAnd Lock transparent pixelsApplication instances.

The example of creating a timeline chart is provided here. I hope to help you understand and learn how to change and lock transparent pixels.

Tools/raw materials

Computer PS software

Note: The small series of ps software is CS6. no matter what type of ps you download, it is basically the same, so you can make a timeline chart.

Steps for creating a pie chart:

1. open the ps software and create a canvas of 500*500. Click the foreground color, set the foreground color to green, press Alt + Delete, and fill in the foreground color. in this case, a green canvas is displayed. (NOTE: Press F7 to open the layer panel. here, we will move the panel to the left for your convenience .)

2. create a new layer 1, select the oval box selection tool, and draw a circle. Click the foreground color, set the foreground color to white, press Alt + Delete, and fill the foreground color. at this time, a white circle is displayed. Select view in the property bar-new reference, create a vertical reference line, select a moving tool, move the reference line with the mouse to the center of the circle, here, the reference line automatically captures the center position of the positive circle.(Note: You must select a mobile tool. Otherwise, you cannot move the reference line .)

3. select the rectangular box selection tool to circle the half circle on the left. Click Lock transparency pixel. a lock icon will appear next to the layer to set the foreground color to black, press Alt + Delete to fill the foreground color.(Note: Here, you must first lock the transparent pixels and then fill in the black .)

4. drag layer 1 down to the new layer, and copy the two layers: Copy 1 and copy 2. Select a copy of Layer 1, press Ctrl + T to change, select the center of the change as the center, click the link to keep the aspect ratio, set the ratio to 50, and press Alt + Delete, fill in the foreground color with black; select layer 1 copy 2, press Ctrl + T to change, select the center of the change as the center, click the link to keep the aspect ratio, set the ratio to 50, press shift + Delete, and the foreground color is white.

5. drag layer 1 copy to the new layer, create a new layer 1 copy 3, and press Ctrl + T to change. the center point position remains unchanged in the center, click the link to maintain the aspect ratio, set the proportion to 40, and fill it in white after the conversion.

6. in the same way, drag layer 1 copy 2 to the new layer, create a layer 1 copy 4, and press Ctrl + T to change the position of the zoom center, keep it in the center, or click the link to keep the aspect ratio, set the proportion to 40, change it, and fill it with black.

7. Finally, click the View and select clear reference line. the reference line is gone. let's see the final one.

8. There are several important knowledge points here. Let's summarize them.

1.Create reference line

In Photoshop, it is very important to create a reference line. When we move the reference line, we must first select a mobile tool to move the reference line. Otherwise, you will not be able to move the reference line.

2.Lock transparent pixels

In Photoshop, the application of locking transparent pixels is also important. Here, why can I fill in the color directly? it is because I have locked the transparent pixels to protect the transparent pixels.

3.Free conversion: center point + aspect ratio

In Photoshop, many applications are freely transformed. During the conversion, we should pay attention to the center point and whether to maintain the aspect ratio. if the center point is different, the conversion position will be different. click to maintain the aspect ratio, which means proportional scaling. otherwise, it is not proportional scaling.

The above is all about this experience and I hope it will help you.
