How to create transparent GIF icons in Photoshop-PS tutorial

I tried to copy a simple GIF transparent small ICON and saved the process. Although it is quite simple, it is a good exercise because it is basically a pixel-level operation. Final effect

1. first, create a 14*14 pixel transparent canvas. We use small icons. generally, small icons on the webpage are so large. remember to select transparent backgrounds, in this way, it can be placed on any background of different colors.

2. enlarge the canvas to the maximum, and then use a pencil to select a black Gray. click "dot" on it to display the border style of a page, and fold a small angle in the upper left corner, just click a triangle with a pencil. These small icons all come out.

3. add a gradient in the page we have drawn so that it is not so dead, as it is layered. Remember to create a layer for each step, and it will be convenient to change the color later :)

4. use a white pencil on the left and top of the page and the small angle to draw the highlight line, which will make the page more stereoscopic.

5. Use a gray pencil on the right and bottom of the page to draw a dark line, so that it is more stereoscopic.


6. then, combine the layers you just painted into a group and hide them. (This group is mainly used to reuse it and change it to another icon in the future .)

7. next we will draw a pencil and draw a pencil shape on the right.

8. mark the approximate position with different colors. the top is an eraser, the middle is the subject of the pencil, and the bottom is the pen tip. (You can use other colors, but pay attention to the color and shade of the pen tip. the highlight must be reflected)

9. then color the pencil. in our icon, the light is played from the upper left corner, so the upper left of them must have lighter highlights. you can try other colors, draw a gorgeous pencil. Be sure to separate the scope of the rubber and the subject.

10. Click OK and open the hidden group. The final result is as follows.

11. save it as a transparent GIF so that we can make good use of it on the webpage.
