How to disable the module IPV6 module in centos6.5 (linux)
After installing centos, some modules are enabled by default, but some modules are not required. For example, IPV6 is not yet popular in China
How can I disable IPV6?
The method described below can also be used when other modules are disabled
Step 1:
Find Module name
Run the lsmod command to view the system startup module and find out what we need
The two modules related to IPV6 are net-pf-10 ipv6
Step 2:
Edit/etc/modprobe. d/dist. conf
Add at last
# Edit by dwj
Alias net-pf-10 off
Alias ipv6 off
After the restart, run lsmod to check if it is still running.
In addition, the command for temporarily removing a module is modprobe-r + Module name.
For example, you can use modprobe-r psmouse to temporarily remove the touchpad module for some linux desktops that do not have the touchpad disabled program.
