What is an mht file?
Mht is also called "single web file", which means to put all the images, CSS files, and HTML files contained in the webpage into an MHT file. Mht is mono html, which is an independent HTML file. When a browser (especially IE) saves all the elements on the page that can be collected, it stores them in one page.
How to edit mht files
Generally, mht files need special software for editing (FrontPage and Dreamweaver are not supported ~), But I can't even find some software for trial! What should we do? In fact, we can change our mindset!
When saving a webpage, we usually save it in mht format. However, for ease of editing, you can save it as htm format and then edit it using notepad, FrontPage, or Dreamweaver. After editing, save it as the mht format again!
Does Firefox support mht?[Ubuntu]
Case: When I used to access the Internet in windows, I had the habit of saving a webpage as A. mht file. However, in ubuntu, the default Firefox browser cannot open files in. mht format. Therefore, a Firefox plug-in (UnMHT for Firefox) is required ).
Plug-in address: http://www.unmht.org/unmht/en_previous.html
When I chose Ver.5.2.0 unmht-5.2.0.xpi for installation, Firefox reported an error and I thought it was a plug-in version.
And then select another lower version of the plug-in. The result is the same:
Firefox cocould not install the file
Https: // ******************************. xpi
Install *** FAILED ** with error-203
........
After searching on google, the problem is solved by finding it in the Fierfox directory:
Extensions. cache, extensions. rdf, rename them. My directory structure is as follows:
/Home/username/. mozilla/firefox/i8kyf7pc. default/extensions. cache
/Home/username/. mozilla/firefox/i8kyf7pc. default/extensions. rdf
This is what I know. I will try again later ~
