12. Start the command line
Since I installed it with a VM, you must first change the default startup mode to the command line method.
Log On with root, edit the/etc/inittab file, and change d: 5: initdefault: To d: 3: initdefault:
Knowledge Point 6: Linux running level
#0-stop (never set initdefault to 0)
#1-single-user mode # s init s = init 1
#2-multiple users without NFS
#3-full multi-user mode (Standard Operation Level)
#4-useless
#5-X11 multi-user graphic mode (xwindow) #6-Restart (do not set initdefault to 6). Then, the system will log on to the command line by default instead of the X Window.
13. Install VNC
In order to open the Oracle graphical installation interface and simulate remote Oracle installation from the client, we need to install VNC serveron the server. I use vnc-5.1.0-linux-x64-rpm.tar.
The VNC and HTTP ports of the client corresponding to desktop 1 are 5901 and 5801. If the firewall function is enabled in Linux, You need to manually enable the corresponding ports and execute them on the server:
Iptables-I INPUT-p tcp -- dport 5901-j ACCEPT
Iptables-I INPUT-p tcp -- dport 5801-j ACCEPT
Start VNC:
Run vncserver.
Disable VNC:
Vncserver-kill: 1. Disable VNC service on desktop 1.
Knowledge Point 7: font library Problems
Because I am using Cent OS, the following error occurs when VNC is started: Couldn't open RGB_DB '/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/rgb'
The reason is that the font path of the X system found by the vncserver is under/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/, but CentOS5 is under/usr/share/X11/fonts, you must first create this directory and then create a link:
Mkdir/usr/X11R6/lib
Cd/usr/X11R6/lib
Ln-s/usr/share/X11 X11
If cocould not open default font 'fixed' is prompted when VNC is started, it indicates that the font may be missing and needs to be installed:
Yum install libXfont
Yum install xorg-x11-fonts *
14. Execute the Oracle installation script
An error is reported directly when the./runInstaller is executed:
Solution:
Log On As root: su-root
Execute xhost + (Note: if "access control disabled, clients can connect from any host" is displayed after execution, it can be executed)
Switch to Oracle installer su-ora11g
Then run./runInstaller.
15. During installation, you may need to manually create the oraInventory directory. Note the directory permissions:
Make sure that the Oracle Installation user is the owner of the directory.
