How to install CentOS6.6 under VMware Virtual Machine

Download CentOS 6.6:

1. First download a centos iso image. I installed it with a virtual machine VMware. It is best to create a blank hard disk with VMware.

2. After the creation is complete, set the centos system file to which the iso is mounted.

Enter System Repair Mode

4. Boot from local drive
Exit installation start from hard disk

5. memory test

6. press tab to edit options
Press "tab" to edit options

 

4. Select Skip

 

5. click next.

 

6. You can select either English or Chinese. Some people say that Chinese characters will be garbled. I did not see garbled characters during the test.

 

7. Select the default keyboard. Next step.

 

8. Select "basic storage device"

 

9. Select Yes. Ignore all data.

 

10. Enter the Hostname in the format of "English name. Surname"

 

11. Click the network settings installation icon in sequence.

 

12. Select Shanghai here ,:

 

13. Set the password here. If the password is weak, a prompt will be displayed!

14. Hard Disk Partition. Remember the one listed below!

 

15. Create a source driver. follow the steps below to proceed.

 

16. Click "format!

 

17. Select to write the modification to the disk.

 

18. Default, and then click Next.

 

19. Select.

 

20. You can select some software packages as needed.

 

21. The next step above is to automatically install the software package, and finally install it here.

 

22. After the settings are complete, the system will be restarted.

 

Note:

Enter the dos Interface

Shortcut: Ctrl + alt + F2

Switch back to the graphic interface from the dos Interface

Shortcut: Ctrl + alt + F1

 

You can set network configurations on the dos or gui. The following describes how to set network configurations on the dos interface.

Here, eth0 refers to the first Nic interface. If your computer (there are multiple servers, please differentiate them)
