How to install Ghost on Ubuntu Server 14.04 LTS

Ghost is an excellent blog platform with beautiful design, easy to use, and completely free of charge. It is also an open-source software with source code shared on github. 1. The first step is to install some additional packages through the Ubuntu update command.

Sudo apt-get update

2. Download and install Node. js source code

3. Download and install Ghost
Sudomkdir-p/var/www/

Cd ghost/
Sudonpm install -- production

4. Configure Ghost
Sudonano config. example. js

Find the Production Section, and set:
Host: '2017. 0.0.1 ',

To:
Host: '0. 0.0.0 ',

Create a Ghost user
Sudoadduser -- shell/bin/bash -- gecos 'ghost application' Ghost
Sudochown-R ghost: ghost/var/www/ghost/

Log On with the "ghost" User
Su-ghost
Cd/var/www/ghost/

Now that you have logged on with the "ghost" user, you can start the Ghost.
Npm start -- production
