I have been trying Ubuntu 11.10 beta for the last two weeks. I feel very bad about it. I recently went back to windows to do some common things. I started using Ubuntu from 10.04 beta. I remember that the Beta version of Ubuntu was not so unstable at that time. Below are some of my trial experiences.

First, the LightDM interface is the most eye-catching one, which is very beautiful. However, it is very strange that some lightDM text (such as the user account) has become a "Mouth" after I upgrade my system. This problem still exists until today, unfortunately, I don't know how to use lightDM. What's hard to understand is that since the login interface is lightDM, the screen lock interface is actually back to the traditional form of gmt1. Why not continue to use the lightDM interface?

After the device is turned on, it is found that the new ambiance theme icon and indicator icon (the icon of the battery and account is ugly) are displayed. The main thing is that there is an extra gear under the switch icon, this button has many more functions, such as system settings, update manager, and Device Manager.
3.
Speaking of the ambiance topic, how many people will use the ambiance topic? I usually change to fraza icons and themes. Unfortunately, on 11.10, due to the upgrade to gnome3, these GTK2 + themes cannot be used, and the appearance setting of UBUNTU is much less customizable, only wallpaper and theme options are available, so you cannot customize theme.
4.
The new idea manager didn't make me very entangled, because I couldn't accept the Software Center either-it was too slow to start and it was too complicated. The new Thunderbird mail client is a joke-although Thurderbird is no problem and receiving emails is really much faster than evolution, but because of its newer version, the corresponding calendar plug-in is not complete, so this version of Ubuntu does not have a calendar or calendar.
5.
In addition to nvdia-current, the video card driver also has an nvidia-current-updates driver. I don't know what this package is for. The only result is that after it is installed, my playmouth interface is still a mess, and this version does not seem to be able to get a clear playmouth interface by enabling the framebuffer and vesa driver.
After several times of compiz and unity updates, these two software cannot work well together.
