In Linux, change the root password under a single user & forget the password

1. Press the e key when the grup boot page is displayed at startup (if you do not know what the grup interface is, you can press the e key after the boot, basically on

 

Machine Time)

 

2. Select Kerner/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.23.1-42.fc8 Ro root =/dev/volgroup0/logvolroot (less than this

 

Select) and press e to edit

 

3. Add "Space + sigle" at the end of this line (that is, single-user mode)

 

4. Press enter to return, and then press B to restart

 

5. Change the password (the command for changing the password can be checked online)

 

6. Reboot restart
