Install Cinnamon 15.04 in Ubuntu 14.04 and Ubuntu 2.6
Linux Mint may be the most popular Ubuntu derivative system, and Elementary OS is also good. The Linux Mint Cinnamon and Mate desktop environments are highly supported. Each Linux Mint version is based on the Ubuntu Lts code library, which ensures stability and has more energy to develop Linux Mint applications and improve the Cinnamon and Mate desktop environments.
Cinnamon 2.6, developed by the Linux Mint team. This version has been frozen and should be released at the end of this month.
The main function of Cinnamon 2.6 is that the system supports the new GTK headerbar, and the Panel now supports multiple monitors.
We can install Cinnamon 2.6 in the same way as Cinnamon Nightly PPA. Because the official version is not released, some problems may occur. The installation commands under Ubuntu 15.04 and Ubuntu 14.04 are as follows:
Sudo add-apt-repository ppa: gwendal-lebihan-dev/cinnamon-nightly
Sudo apt-get update
Sudo apt-get install cinnamon
If you do not want to use it, delete it as follows:
Sudo apt-get install ppa-purge
Sudo ppa-purge ppa: gwendal-lebihan-dev/cinnamon-nightly
