On the mono official website (http://download.mono-project.com/sources/mono/ download your program installation package, I download mono-3.12.1.tar.bz2, the following take this package as an example.
3. decompress the package
Copy the mono software installation package to the computer to be deployed, enter the directory in the terminal, and run the "tar-jxvf mono * tar.bz2" command to decompress the software installation package. After decompression, a folder similar to the package file name appears in the directory where the package is located.
4. Compile and install
Go to the decompressed folder and run the following commands in sequence:
./Configure -- prefix =/usr/local/mono
Make
Make install
You can install mono software. The entire compilation and installation process is about 10 to 15 minutes.
5. Path Configuration
After the program is compiled, run the "ln-s/usr/local/mono/bin/mono-sgen/usr/bin/mono" command to add the mono Startup Program to the search path of the system, restart the system or log out and log on again.
After the preceding command is complete, run the "mono" command on the terminal to check whether mono is successfully installed. If the installation is successful, the mono software prompts are displayed.
