Starting from version 7, IBM's Group Component Product Lotus Notes officially began to support the Linux platform. v7.0.1 is the first release of Lotus Notes for Linux. Unlike the Lotus Notes Client of the corresponding Windows version, Lotus Notes for Linux provides functions through a framework named IBM Workplace Managed Client. For this reason, the IBM Workplace Managed Client framework is also installed when Lotus Notes for Linux is installed. The installation process is described in detail below.
Ubuntu is a distributed version of Debian Linux, which is of course open source code and free of charge. Ubuntu's goal is to build an end-user, easy-to-use operating system, as is true. The User Name of the operating system used is huangys, and its home directory is/home/huangys/
The original installation file is located in/home/huangys/notes_inst_files/
The IBM Workplace Managed Client framework will be installed in/opt/IBM/WorkplaceManagedClient/
