Install MySQL 5.7.5-m15 on Ubuntu Server 14.04 LTS

Install Libaio

MySQL depends on the Libaio library. If you had not the Libaio installed on your system and then install it first.

Install Libaio1

If the command above prompts that you need insert the disc labled "Ubuntu Server 14.04 LTS ...", just do it if you have th E disc. But if you don't have that, don ' t worry about this. You can download libaio1. deb package from archive.ubuntu.com, and then install the. Deb with Dpkg-i.

mkdir ./Libaiowget http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/liba/ Libaio/libaio1_0.3.109-4_amd64.deb-I. libaio1_0. 3.109-4_amd64.deb

Besides downloading the. Deb, if you have the Ubuntu Server. ISO file, you can get the Libaio1. Deb package from the ISO file.

Mount -O-loop ubuntu-14.04. 1-server-amd64.iso/media/cdrom/mkdir ./LibaioCP /media/cdrom/pool/main/liba/ Libaio/*  ./libaio/

Install MySQL

Download MySQL. deb bundle tarball and install MySQL Common Files first, then community server, client, shared client Libr ary.
