Ii. Create an Oracle Database Installation Point
Create a directory. Oracle will be installed under these directories:
Mkdir-p/opt/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1
Change the/opt/oracle directory owner to oracle and the group to oinstall:
Chown-R oracle: oinstall/opt/oracle
Chmod 775/opt/oracle
3. Prepare the Oracle Installation File
Run as an oracle user
Download the Oracle Installation File 10201_database_linux32.zip
In the Directory:/home/oracle
Unzip 10201_database_linux32.zip
Iv. Set Environment Variables
Edit. bash_profile under oracle home and add the following content.
Export ORACLE_BASE =/Opt/oracle
Export ORACLE_HOME = $ ORACLE_BASE/Product/10.2.0/db_1
Export ORACLE_SID = test
Export PATH = $ ORACLE_HOME: $ PATH
Run as an oracle user
./RunInstaller-IgnoreSysPrereqs
Use -IgnoreSysPrereqsTo skip the operating system version check.
Install orainstRoot. sh and root. sh.
5. Create a database
DBCA is created in the same way as Windows.
6. Configure listener
