You may have tried Debian, but you are not willing to give up the Redhat that you are already familiar with before. No problem, we can install dual Linux.

First install Redhat and use grub. then, install Debian. during installation, select the location where Lilo is to be installed. Do not select MBR. Select the partition where Debian is located. my options are/dev/hdc5. then create a boot floppy disk.

Go to Redhat after startup and modify the/boot/grub/menu. list file in Redhat. below is my file:

Default = 0
Timeout = 10
Splashimage = (hd1, 0)/grub/splash.xpm.gz
Title Red Hat Linux (2.4.18-5.58)
Root (hd1, 0)
Kernel/vmlinuz-2.4.18-5.58 ro root = LABEL =/

Title Debian
Root (hd1, 4) I use hd1 here because my Debian is installed on the second hard disk. 4 means hdc5
Kernel/vmlinuz ro root =/dev/hdc5
Title WindowsXP
Rootnoverify (hd0, 0)
Chainloader 1

Your file may change, but it is similar.

OK. Now you can enjoy a dual system consisting of Debian and Redhat.
