The notebook is Dell XPS M1530. After Ubuntu 11.04 is installed, the basic devices are working normally and fingerprint recognition has never been taken care. Today, when I was idle, I felt like I had to drum up my fingerprint to see if it could be driven.
I searched for the following articles and found that their settings are not the same as those on my machine.
Finally, I finally succeeded and published a memorandum of understanding for readers.
1. First, choose system> System Management> Software manager to search for fingerprint.
Mark related packages as installation, as shown in:
Click the application and wait until the installation is successful.
2. Restart the machine to make the driver take effect.
3. Open the console:
Run sudo pam-auth-update -- force
Set all options to the stars.
3. Restart the machine
4. Application-Appendix-fprint-demo
As shown in:
Register and click Enroll to scan your fingerprint. If necessary, Verify it.
5. Restart the machine to log on with the fingerprint.
However, after Logging On, you must enter the password for decoding. Otherwise, you cannot use the system tool.
