Install Ubuntu (1 ).

This is the first time that a blogger has written a blog. Although he is studying computer science, he is also a beginner. I have solved a problem that has plagued me for a long time not long ago. I 'd like to share it with you.

Last semester, the school's studio focused on popularizing the linux operating system, and finally installed Ubuntu16.04. After all, it is a graphical linux system. It is easy for new users to get started and can be forced to install it. Then I encountered a very bad situation during the installation-the computer is stuck on the Ubuntu installation and loading interface (that is, the Ubuntu logo and the following lines are available, this is really embarrassing. Everyone else is familiar with installing the system, but I am trying to enter the installation interface.

Later, I went back to the dormitory and tried to find that I was lucky enough to go to the installation page, but it still got stuck in the next step. Later, I spent many experiments. After Ubuntu was successfully installed, I found that I still couldn't enter the system. The phenomenon is still like that. I chose Ubuntu on the grub interface and stuck it in the logo.

Now that we have reached this step, we certainly cannot give up, so we naturally have to ask Google. After a long period of searching, we can draw a rough conclusion, it should be caused by incompatibility between the graphics card driver on my computer and the Ubuntu kernel. My laptop is a Nvidia 950 M graphics card. After searching, I found that most of my colleagues who use Nvidia graphics cards have encountered this problem, and my roommates who use AMD graphics cards have successfully started Ubuntu.

Since the problem is almost clear, it will not be too difficult to solve it.

After entering the grub interface, there is an "Advanced option" in the third line. After selecting it, press the "e" key to enter the editing mode. Find the line "linux" and move the cursor to the end of the line, press the Space key to add a blank space, and then enter

1 acpi_osi=linux nomodeset

Then press F10 to continue the boot. Normally, you can enter Ubuntu. Then, you only need to change the proper graphics driver in Ubuntu, and you will not be able to solve this problem. (Since I have seen many people on the internet saying that updating the video card driver will cause some new problems, I am afraid of trouble and will not change the video card driver. I need to manually enter the above Code every time I start the system)

Some machines may cause this problem due to other graphics cards. I listed the intel Core display and AMD graphics card configuration methods:

1 acpi_osi = linux kernel = 1 or acpi_osi = linux i915.modeset = 0 (Intel kernel) 2 acpi_osi = linux xforcevesa or acpi_osi = linux radeon. modeset = 0 xforcevesa (AMD graphics card)
