Installing MongoDB on a Mac

1. Visit MongoDB official Http://www.mongodb.org/downloads

2. Click on the "DOWNLOAD (tgz)" button:

3. Unzip the downloaded file archive and cut it to a location in your Mac:

4. Configure the environment variables, open the terminal, enter "OPEN-E. Bash_profile":

5. Define the Mongodb_home variable, this value is the storage address of the folder you just unzipped, and then add "$MONGODB _home/bin:" in Path.

6. Save the configuration with Command+s, close the. bash_profile edit window above, and enter "source. Bash_profile" in to make the configuration effective.

7. Enter "Mongod-version" and if you see the version number below, the MongoDB has been successfully installed on your Mac.
