Installing Redhat Linux 9.0 under VMware virtual machines

Starting with this article, I am learning Linux with you. No matter what kind of system, must be installed to talk about the use of it.

Linux version

Before installing Linux, you need to know the installation version of the Linux system.

The Linux version is divided into kernel and release versions.

Kernel version:

The kernel version is controlled by the Linux leadership team.

The kernel provides an abstraction layer between the bare device and the application.

Now the latest version is 2.6.24

Release version:

A kernel-only operating system without application software is not available, so many companies organize the kernel, source code, and related applications into a complete operating system, which is the release version. Their release numbers vary, and the most popular packages are Red Hat, SUSE, Ubantu, Red Flag Linux, and so on.

Red Hat is the Linux system we want to install.

Install Linux as standard in Redhat Linux 9.0

Linux system Installation

The installation of the system is installed under the VMware virtual machine

One: Create a new virtual machine in the virtual machine.

Click cd/DVD.

Select Use ISO and select the ISO image for the downloaded Linux. Stand-alone OK (Note: There is no need to download Linux9.0 to download online, some sites are 3 ISO files, some sites are 1. are all possible)

Click to open this virtual machine power supply and start the installation

Enter the software to press ENTER directly, do not press for 30 seconds will automatically enter

When it appears, it is recommended to click Skip directly.

Then click Next, select Simplified Chinese, select the default keyboard and mouse.

Select Personal Desktop

The disk partitioning setting is a critical step, and if you select Auto Partition, the next step is to display the following

Stand-alone is

Here are 3 options, if the reader would like to not delete the original system to establish a dual system, it is best to return to the previous step to partition the disk, because we use a virtual machine, so the disk should be empty disk, so we choose the first, delete all the Linux partitions within the system, and then the next

And then all the way to the next.

Enter the password, this password is set by itself, but must remember, or not into the system

Then the next step

To start the installation, the installation process is slow and needs to wait.

If you download a 3 ISO image, you will be prompted to insert the second ISO

Insert the second disc as follows

Click on the Red coil icon, enter the CD/DVD, find the second ISO, click OK, will continue to install

You will then be prompted to insert the 3rd ISO. The steps are the same.

Note: When entering the second ISO image address, be sure to tick the connected, such as, or there will be no mount prompts. Because this tick is not hit by default, some new students often appear to be unable to mount in the installation of the phenomenon.

Then the next step. Appear as

Press ENTER to go all the way

After the setup is complete, go ahead.
