For the first contact of the Linux system students, more familiar with the window system operation, it is recommended to use virtual machine directly familiar with Linux. Skilled in the future can be directly equipped with a Linux system computer to develop. Since I am also a novice, virtual machine installation saves a lot of time looking for drivers, backing up data, and handling exceptions (don't ask how I know). If the obsessive compulsive disorder is serious, or if you like tossing, try a dual system, or a single Linux system.
Here I'll show you how to install Linux on a virtual machine.
1 First, what to prepare
1 computers, Window System, Ubuntu image, VM player (free version, this basic enough, not recommended to toss the pirate VM station, do not ask me why I know)
2 Installation Steps
1) Install VM player. As with most Windows software, nothing special, just a little bit.
2) Install Ubuntu (it is recommended to use the latest LTS version, eliminating the hassle of upgrading, because it is the latest system, the heart feels very cool)
First step: Open VM player and click Create new virtual machine.
The second step is to select the image to install, and find out where you put the Ubuntu image.
The third step is to set the username and password, which is the password for your new Ubuntu system. This step can be written casually, do not forget your password is good.
The fourth step is to select the virtual machine installation path, this step is recommended to find a dedicated disk or dedicated folder
The fifth step is to set the disk size, that is, the system disk size of your Ubuntu system later, if there is space, it is recommended to set a larger point. As for the demolition of their own decision.
The sixth step installs Ubuntu system, click Finish, start installs.
The seventh step waits to be completed, when opened, you will have a Linux system. It's simple! Ha ha
