Clonezilla is a free and open-source disk clone application based on the Debian Linux release. Like other disk clone applications, Clonezilla copies the content of a hard disk or partition and transfers it to another storage medium, such as a hard disk drive of another computer or removable media such as a DVD or USB drive ). Clonezilla is compatible with Windows, Macintosh, and Linux operating systems.
Clonezilla has two versions: Single-host clone and multi-host clone. Clonezilla Live is designed to clone a machine that is not installed. It can be operated through LiveDistro on physical media such as CD, DVD, or USB drive, or from server unicast. Clonezilla SE server version) uses multicast to clone multiple disks at the same time. Since it only copies used hard disk blocks, Clonezilla is fast. However, it maintains the disk or partition size so that it can create a real clone. The Clonezilla website reports that the software can play over 5.6 gib Disk Images to more than 40 computers within 10 minutes.
Clonezilla was initially designed by Steven Shaiu and later developed by the National Network Center Free Software lab.
