Since Apple released an email to developers in middle August about "a set of identical sizes can be set for apps uploaded to the App Store", Alibaba Cloud has received a lot of questions related to this issue:
- What size should I choose if I upload a set?
- How do I set the same size for the application?
- Can I set different sizes based on different devices?
- What are the sizes of each type?
......
At present, some developers still have questions about Apple's adjustment. To help you solve the mysteries, I will sort out the relevant questions recently answered and the ITC background's rules.
1. When using a set, you need to select the screen of the maximum size.
Apple stipulated in the iTunes Connect Developer Guide that a set of screens of the same size should be selected.
That is to say, if your application only supports the iPhone, you only need to provide a 5.5 inch display (pixel-Portrait: 1242x2208, horizontal: 2208x1242. If your app supports iPad, a 12.9 inch screen can meet your requirements.
2. You can set a set with the same size or the same size as before.
The mail published by Apple is "If your App does not use different UIS or operations based on device models, there are no special requirements for localization, you can choose to upload an application with the same size ".
A.How do I set a set of identical sizes for the application?
If you want to set an App with the same size, you only need to click "select file" in the "5.5 inch display" section, upload a set of 5.5 inch, and then select the red horizontal line.
Note: The upper-level dimensions can be used for the display area 4.7 inch, 4 inch, and 3.5 inch, and the size of the red horizontal line varies according to the size used for the previous level. That is to say, if the "4.7 inch display" Section selects "use 5.5 inch display", the "4 inch display" section will automatically become "use 5.5 inch display", and so on.
B.How can I set different sizes based on different devices?
If you do not want to use a set of screens of the same size, you can click "select file" on the display area 5.5 inch, 4.7 inch, 4 inch, and 3.5 inch respectively, and then upload the screens of different sizes.
Note: The upper-level dimensions can be used for the display area of 4.7 inch, 4 inch, and 3.5 inch.
3. Apple provides different screen requirements for different devices.
There are four iPhone-oriented models: 5.5 inch, 4.7 inch, 4 inch, and 3.5 inch. For iPad, there are 2 types: 9.7 inch, 12.9 ...... The following are specifications released by Apple:
A. 3.5 inch Retina display screen snapshot requirements
B. 4 inch Retina display screen snapshot requirements
C. 4.7 inch Retina display screen snapshot requirements
D. 5.5 inch Retina display screen snapshot requirements
For the 9.7 inch Retina display screen snapshot requirements, Apple has made the following provisions
Apple's requirements for screen snapshots for the 12.9 inch Retina display are similar to those for different pixels:
- 72 dpi, RGB, flat, and opaque
- High quality JPEG or PNG Image File Format
- Size range:
