Java defines eight basic types of data:,,,,,, byte
short
int
long
char
float
double
and boolean
.
The base type is often referred to as a simple type.
These basic types can be divided into four groups:
Integers-include:,,, byte
short
int
and long
, for integer signed numbers.
Floating-point number-includes float
and double
, represents a number with fractional precision.
Characters-include characters that represent symbols in the character set, such as letters and numbers.
Boolean ( Boolean
)-This group includes a Boolean value, which is true
a false
special type of representation/value.
You can use these types to construct arrays or your own class types.
The base type represents a single value, not a complex object. Although Java is completely object-oriented, the original type is not an object.
The original type has an explicit scope and mathematical behavior.
