All JSP pages, when executed, are converted to Servelet (. java) by the server-side JSP engine, and then by the JSP engine invoking the Java compiler, compiling Servelet (. java) into a class file (. Class) and by the Java Virtual machine ( JVM) to interpret execution. Here's how to verify this:

There is a JSP page test.jsp, enter http://localhost:8080/Test.jsp in the browser address bar, will appear execution result. At the same time under the%catalina_home%workcatalinalocalhost two more files: _test_jsp.java and _test_jsp.class, they are Servelet and class files respectively.
