Limitation of SQL Server Express

SQL Server express uses the same reliable and high-performance database engine as other SQL Server 2005 versions. it also uses the same data access API, such as ADO. net, SQL native client, and T-SQL.

 

It differs from other SQL Server 2005 versions in the following aspects:

• Enterprise Edition features none
• Only one CPU
• The cache pool size is 1 GB
• The maximum database size is 4 GB.

Please note that when you plan to use SQL express as a database engine, the above restrictions must be taken into account. In particular, the maximum database size is 4 GB, which is a serious injury.
