Host command

Function description

The host command is a common domain name query tool, and the nslookup, dig functions are basically the same, using the following:

host [parameters] [options]

Common parameters

Options Description
-A Querying DNS details is equivalent to-V-T
-C (Type) Specify the query type, default to In
-R Disable recursive processing
-T (Type) Specifies the type of query including a, all, MX, NS

Example

Query JD.com Information

[Email protected] ~]# host JD.com

JD.com has address 111.206.227.118

query JD.com more information

[Email protected] ~]# host-a JD.com

querying MX records for JD.com

[[email protected] ~]# host-n-T MX JD.com
