Linux instruction Set

Recently learning about Linux virtual machines, here are some of the instructions I used in the process of learning virtual machines, and their roles.

Pwd-> list the current directory path

Ls-> lists the current directory list

cd-> Changing directories

mkdir-> Creating a Directory command

Tar-> Compress Package Operations Command

Gunzip->. GZ Compressed Package Decompression

Rm-> Deleting an action file

Mv-> cutting files to the destination

cp-> copying files to the destination location

Vi/vim-> writing to a file

Ps-> Show All current processes

Kill-> sending instructions to the destination process

chgrp-> changing file groupings

chown-> Change the file owner and

chmod-> changing file properties

Su-> Change Operation user

Sudo-> using Super User actions

help-> Display Help Documents

Man-> definition document for display directives

ifconfig-> Displays the IP address of the current system
