Linux Integration Services (Lis,linux Integration Services) is a service that runs Linux guest VMs in Hyper-V for the best experience, and Microsoft has officially released the Linux integration Servi CES (LIS) 4.0 with a version number of 4.0.11. The Linux Integration Services 4.0 update improves support and BUG fixes for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.7, CentOS 6.7, and Oracle Linux 6.7, and also optimizes the Hype Network performance for R-v and Microsoft Azure.
System Platform Support Linux integration Services (LIS) 4.0 update enables Linux virtual machines to run on the following Hyper-V systems or cloud platforms:
Windows Server R2 (applicable editions) Microsoft Hyper-V Server R2 Windows 8/8.1/10 Professional Edition and above Windows Server 2012 and R2 Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2012 and R2 Windows Server Technical Preview Microsoft Hyper-V Server Technical Preview Microsoft Azure
Applicable Linux distributions Linux Integration Services is now integrated into the system by many Linux distributions (e.g. Ubuntu) without the need for manual installation by the user. If you are using a Linux distribution that is not built-in, you will need to download it manually to install it.
The Linux Integration Services 4.0 update adds support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.7, CentOS 6.7, and Oracle Linux 6.7, as well as the following Linux systems:
