The following uses installing SuSE sled10sp1 as an example to describe how to install SuSE Linux using the hard disk iso or installation file when Windows is already installed.
First, install a dostool containing grub in windows. We recommend that you use the dwarf series.
Find the configuration file of grub in windows, usually in C:/boot/GRUB/menu. lst.
Open this file and add the following lines at the endCode
Title suse_install
Kernel hda (0, 0)/boot/GRUB/Suse/Linux
Initrd hda (0, 0)/boot/GRUB/Suse/initrd
Find the sled ISO file, find the Linux and initrd files in the/boot/i386/loader/directory, and copy them to C: /boot/GRUB/Suse directory (The SuSE directory does not exist. You need to manually create an SuSE directory)
Restart Windows and select suse_install from the Startup menu to go To the Linux installation page.
Then, when selecting the Linux installation source, select HDD (hard disk) Installation and enter the ISO file address. Here is an example of adding your sled10sp1. the ISO file is in The SuSE directory under the hda7 partition. When you select an address, first select the hda7 partition, and then enter/Suse/sled10sp1 in the address bar. ISO, Which is case sensitive.
