1. Install some sources that enable apt to use HTTPS

sudo apt-get install-y --no-install-recommends \ Apt-transport-https \ ca-certificates \ curl \ S Oftware-properties-common

2. Add Docker official GPG key:

Curl-fssl https://apt.dockerproject.org/gpg | sudo apt-key add-

3. Use a stable warehouse (the red font is a place where mint differs from the official version of Ubuntu, as indicated in the official reference document)

sudo add-apt-repository \ "Deb https://apt.dockerproject.org/repo/ \ ubuntu-trusty \ Main "

4. Installing Docker

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get-y install docker-engine
