Linux displayed in Windows edited Chinese will show garbled is due to the two operating systems using different encoding. the encoding used under Linux is UTF8, and Windows uses gb18030. Therefore, there are two ways to solve the problem of Linux open txt file garbled.

Method One:

      txt directory where the file is located, using the command "Iconv-f gb18030  -t UTF8 1.txt-o 2.txt " put coded 1.txt convert to utf8 2.txt . so 2.txt linux supported encodings.

Method Two:

in the attachment Terminal , use the command "Gconf-editor", enter the environment configuration, expand "/apps/gedit-2/preferences/encodings/", Edit the "auto_detected" on the right to add "GB18030" to the top . In the future, the text editor will be able to display Chinese correctly.
