1.NetworaManager: Fast switching between wireless and wired networks. Generally used for mobile terminals.
2.NetworkManagerDispatcher: Switch back and forth between multiple network environments, same as NetworkManager.
3.acpid: (no preset port) power Management Configuration service.
4.anacron: (no preset port) an automated run task. Red Hat Linux has four tools for automating tasks: Cron, Anacron, at, and BATC. When your Linux host does not turn on all the time, this anacron can help you perform work that has not been performed during the "Chontab" setting. For example, when your host shuts down at 12:00 in the evening, but crontab this routine work is done at 4:00, the routine work is not working. But it can be done with Anacron. (/etc/anacrontab)
5.APMD: (no preset port) traditional Advanced power management programs are useful for laptops to understand the battery charge of the system.
6.ATD: (no preset port) a running Automation service. Usually needs to be started. But if you are using cron all the time, you can also not start.
7.AUDITD: (no preset port) management audit system. A user program used for auditing and storage.
8.autofs: (no preset port) to implement the disc, the floppy disk automatically loaded.
9.avahi-daemon:avahi is the implementation of ZEROCONF protocol. It can find devices and services based on the ZEROCONF protocol in a LAN without DNS service. It's the same as MDNs. Unless you have a compatible device or a service using the ZEROCONF protocol, you can turn it off.
10.AVAHI-DNSCONFD: Ditto.
11.bluetooth: Bluetooth, for wireless portable devices (unlike WiFi)
12.conman:conman is a program for connecting to remote consoles beingmanaged by Conmand.
13.cpuspeed: Monitor System idle percentage, reduce or accelerate CPU clock speed and voltage to minimize energy consumption while system is idle, and maximize system execution speed when system is busy.
14.crond: Used to perform routine daemons.
15.cups: (Common UNIX Printing System) public UNIX print support for Linux to provide printing capabilities. The service that is required to install the printer.
16.DHCDBD: This is an interface that allows the Dbus system to control DHCP. You can leave the default shutdown state.
17.dund:dund supports dial-up connections over the network via Bluetooth. (Associated bluetooth)
18.firstboot: This service is unique to the RH installation process. It performs a specific task that only needs to be performed once after installation for the first time. It can be turned off.
19.GPM: Terminal mouse pointer support (no graphical interface). If you don't use a text terminal, close it. I turn it on at run Level 3 and close it at run Level 5.
20.haldaemon: Hardware monitoring System. This service monitors hardware changes and provides reports for the hardware you have changed. (No hardware changes are required to start)
21.hidd: Provides support for input devices (keyboard, mouse).
22.httpd:apache network server. There are two reasons to apply this service on the system, one is to use it as a network server, and the other is to use it as a Web site developer. If you do not have these two items, you do not have to install Apache.
23.ibmasm:tools necessary to control the IBM Advanced System Management (ASM, also known as RSA (1)) device driver.
24.ip6tables: If you don't know if you're using IPV6, most of the cases say you're not using it. This service is a software firewall for IPV6. Most users should close it.
25.iptables: Firewall.
26.irda: (Infrared Data Association) is an industrial standard for the realization of infrared wireless data transmission.
27.irqbalance: To enable the system to support multiple CPU environment, the unified interrupt Request load balance program, so a single CPU machine does not need this service.
28.kudzu: Hardware automatic detection program, will automatically detect whether the hardware changes, and the corresponding hardware add, delete work. When the system starts, Kudzu detects the current hardware and makes a one by one control of the hardware information stored in/etc/sysconfig/hwconf, and if a hardware is added or deleted from the system, then Kudzu is aware and notifies the user whether the configuration is relevant , and then modify the/etc/sysconfig/hwconf to keep the hardware data synchronized with the system. 29.lvm2-monitor: Enables the system to support logical Volume Manager logical partitions.
30.mcstrans: Mainly used in conjunction with SELinux service.
31.mdmonitor: This service is used to monitor software,raid or LVM information. It is not a critical service and can be turned off.
32.MDMPD: A program associated with a RAID device. Close it.
33.messagebus: Event monitoring service. This service emits broadcast information to all users when necessary, such as the server will reboot.
34.multipathd:this Daemon is in charge of checking for failed paths. When Thishappens, it would reconfigure the Multipath map the path belongs to, so thatthis map regains its maximum Performan CE and redundancy.
Thisdaemon executes the External multipath Config tool when events occur. In Turn,the multipath tool signals the MULTIPATHD when it was done with daemon, so it can devmapreconfiguration H its failed path list.
36.NETFS: This service is used to automatically mount the shared file space on the network when the system starts up, such as Nfs,samba and so on. If you connect to another server on your local area network and file sharing, open it. Most desktop and notebook users should close it.
37.NETPLUGD: This service monitors the network interface, shuts down or starts it according to the signal, mainly uses in the portable computer which does not connect frequently.
38.network: Open the network card service to enable the system to support the network card.
39.NFS: This service enables users to access NFS shared files and services necessary for NFS system clients.
40.nfslock: This service is activated only if you are using NFS Network file sharing features.
41.NSCD: Password and Group lookup service. This service is used to slow down services such as N.I.S/Y.P.NIST,LDAP and Hesiod. Provide longer break times for these services.
42.NTPD: (Network time server)
43.oddjobd:the ODDJOBD Daemon provides the Com.redhat.oddjob service on Thesystem-wide. Each facility which ODDJOBD provides is provided as Aseparate D-bus method. Any can is invoked by name by any user, subject toaccess controls enforced by both D-bus and ODDJOBD. Most methods are implementedas helper programs.
