Linux: the password of the system is forgotten. If you cannot log on to the system, the password of the linux system is forgotten.
You can change the password before logging in to the single-user mode.
Step 1:
Restart the system. before entering the system, press the "Esc" key in the upper-left corner of the keyboard to go to the following page:
Then press e to enter the editing page.
Step 2:
After entering the following page, select the line of kernel through the keyboard's up and down arrow keys, then press e to enter the editing page, and add the single parameter at the end of the line to enable the system to directly enter the single-user mode when it is started, press enter to save and edit the settings. Go back to the previous page and click B on the keyboard to start the system.
Step 3:
After restart, enter the single-user mode, enter passwd to change the password, and then restart the system to log on to the system with the new password.
