According to the Linux Foundation, Linux-related jobs have increased by 80% over the past five years. To adapt to and promote this trend, the Linux Foundation released a Linux Workbench to provide a platform for job seekers and employers in Linux to communicate with each other.
Last year, the Linux Foundation purchased the Linux.com domain name from GeekNet, which provides a variety of content and services for Linux users and developers, including blog and Community technical support. The online workbench is the latest online content of Linux.com.
Jim Zemlin, executive director of the Linux Foundation, said in a statement: "Linux is widely used in the industry, which also provides an increasing number of Linux jobs. Readers of Linux.com include thousands of Linux professionals worldwide. By providing a workbench in the community, we can connect employers, job seekers, and recruiters to contribute to a better IT industry tomorrow ."
