On an old Compaq Computer, The Rssapphire user realized that the Windows program and Linux program run together in the same desktop environment, and the effect looks really good. It is both beautiful and efficient and practical.

Run Linux (Kubuntu Feisty Fawn) in VMWare (with MB of memory ).
Xming: X-server in Windows, so that Linux programs can be displayed on Windows desktops.
PuTTY plink takes the Linux window from VMWare to Xming X-server.
KDE Kicker is used as the Linux program starter.
