Gcc:liunx-C + + compiler in the environment, installing software requires it
Kernel-devel:linux kernel, need to compile kernel when installing software, so need to keep kernel version consistency
1.Linux operating system installed, to see if GCC has been installed;
# GCC-V//If a large segment appears, it is already installed;
2. See if the kernel is consistent;
#uname-R
#rpm-Q Kernel-devel
If two commands get the same version number, congratulations you can install VMware tools directly, but in general, two versions are inconsistent, or prompt kernel-devel is not installed;
3. Install gcc (if GCC is not installed), make sure the network is connected;
#yum-y Install gcc
4. Install Kernel-devel (can be found in ISO file)
#cd/mnt/
#mkdir CDROM
#mount/dev/cdrom/mnt/cdrom//These three steps are to mount the optical drive to the CDROM folder below the/MNT directory;
#cp/mnt/cdrom/centos/kernel-xen-devel-2.6.18-164.el5.i686.rpm/tmp//Find Kernel-xen-devel ... File and copy it to the/tmp directory;
#cd/tmp
#rpm-IVH kernel-xen-devel-2.6.18-164.el5.i686.rpm//Installation Kervel-devel
The above Linux system installation of GCC and Kernel-devel method is small to share all the content of everyone, hope to give you a reference, but also hope that we support the cloud habitat community.
