Modify the character set of the Oracle database to UTF-8

2 , change the server-side character set by using Oracle's SQL Plus Command window

In Sql*plus, log on as DBA

Conn User name as Sysdba

Then execute the following command

>shutdown immediate; (the database was stopped)

>startup Mount; (Re-open the database to change the situation)

>alter system enable restricted session;

>alter system set job_queue_processes=0;

>alter system set aq_tm_processes=0;

>alter database open;

>alter database character set UTF8;

OR

>alter database character set Internal_use UTF8;

>shutdown immediate;

>startup; (Re-open normal Oracle)
