There's an old Java project on hand, and the database is MySQL-based, and we're going to move it to SQLServer2008.
Using Microsoft's SSMA for MySQL: Migration Assistant Microsoft SQL Server Migration Assistant for MySQL
1. Download the installer, website: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=42657
The installation will detect if there is an ODBC driver, if not, click Download to download the installation from the official website. (However, I have actually installed MySQL ... )
I chose next, and so on, when the connection to MySQL will be prompted to install ODBC driver, that place pop-up URL is right.
2. Install complete Desktop icon
3. Open the software, new project,migrate to select SQL Server version for your target version, mine is 2008.
4.connect to MySQL pop-up download-Driven bullet box, click Download, install ODBC driver.
5. Connect MySQL after installation,
6. Connect to SQL Server
