Name of each column in the Oracle query table and number of columns in the table

1. query the number of columns in the table

Select count (column_name) from user_tab_columnswhere table_name = 'table name'; -- the table name is capitalized.

Or:

Select count (column_name) from user_tab_columns where table_name = upper ('table name ');

2. query all column names in the table.

SELECT COLUMN_NAME FROM USER_TAB_COLUMNS WHERE TABLE_NAME = 'table name' order by COLUMN_ID

Or:

SELECT COLUMN_NAME FROM ALL_TAB_COLUMNS WHERE TABLE_NAME = 'table name' order by COLUMN_ID

Note:
When using SQL statements, you only need to replace the table name with the name of the table to calculate the number of columns.
