RansomWare is a type of malware that hackers use to hijack user assets or resources and extort money from users on such conditions. Ransomware usually encrypts multiple types of files on the user system, such as documents, emails, databases, source code, images, and compressed files, make these files unavailable. Ransomware may also interfere with users' normal use of the system by modifying the system configuration file to reduce the availability of the system. Then, a ransom notification is sent to the user through a pop-up window, dialog box, or text file generation. the user is required to send a remittance to the specified account to obtain the password for decryption of the file or to restore the normal operation of the system.
