The PHP language has existed for more than 20 years and is clearly one of the most popular programming languages in the world. PHP is definitely the lingua-generic language for Internet server-side web programming.
Although there are a wide range of user-documentation,php languages always miss the language specification. This is not to say that a specification is not considered or discussed. Just one that never really came true.
Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu said, "A new journey begins." We are excited to announce a canonical first draft of PHP.
The existence of the norm announced Sarah in Oscon 2014. Feedback messages and sample chapters are overwhelmingly positive.
Now, the entire draft of the specification has been published. Hosted in the Php.net git repository, this repo will be mirrored to GitHub. Please read the specification. Provide your request and feedback. We hope and expect that this specification will change over time with the help of all who care about PHP language.
Thank you for your PHP group with mantle and provide managed infrastructure for further development and help shepherd This is a true community ownership and development project.
Special thanks must be given to Rex Jaeschke, the actual writing specification of lead, and the resulting Paroski, key in the review work, and help Rex spec shape into its original form. Thanks to Paul Tarjan, sara Golemon, Watzmanfrede Emot, Josh and other HHVM team great contributions and feedback. Thanks to Stanislav Marisen and Nikitapopov, look ahead to the specs and provide valuable feedback.
The programming of the language specification may not be the most thing in the world, but, in my opinion, it is an exciting PHP language.
