Oracle 10g installation in red hat enterprise linux 5

 

ORACLE 10 Gb installation in LINUX:

DBA is the direction of hard work. ORACLE DBAs are all-embracing. Even LINUX/UNIX cannot be used. It also makes p oracle.

 

Two parts:

1. red hat enterprise linux 5 Installation

Difficulties (For Me Now): 1.1YUM local source configuration; network related information, not to mention. because it is used on the local machine, after referring to the FTP source, I used the FILE source;

1.2 four files related to bash startup file (environment variables can be configured by modifying startup file):/etc/profile;

~ /. Bash_profile ;~ /. Profile ;~ /. Bash_login; different versions;

2. ORACLE 10 Gb installation:

Difficulties: 2.1 can refer to ORACLE 10g DOCUMENTATION, but one thing, ORACLE 10g surface does not support REDHAT LINUX5, but you can modify the support parameters, REDHAT-5

2.2 for the installation of related packages, there is a PDKSH or something, which is actually KCSH, which is also from the perspective of a certain english forum;

2.3 The ORACLE_SID environment variable must be the same as the SID specified for ORACLE Installation. Otherwise, the can not open parameter file error may occur;
