Classification of parameter files:
Spfile:server parameter file
Binary format, out of file system bondage
Can only be placed on server side
Better consistency
Only use SQL commands to modify
SPFile priority is higher than pfile
Naming rules: Spfile<sid>.ora & Spfile.ora
Pfile:parameter file
Text file
Can be placed on the server side can also be side on the client side
Pfile flexible but too many replicas
Can be modified directly using a text editor
Naming rules: Init<sid>.ora
Where to save the parameter file: $ORACLE _home/dbs
Like what:
[email protected] ~]$ ll $ORACLE _home/dbs
Total 28
