BEIJING, October 24, 2006-Oracle Fusion Middleware will be used in Oracle Convergence middleware in San Francisco's 2006 Oracle Global Technology and Applications conference to provide further open and flexible IT environments for developers and customers Further expand open standards for the establishment, deployment, management and maintenance of various service-oriented applications. Oracle has been a leader in open standards since 25, and Oracle is now the main publisher of hundreds of new technology standards, while continuing its efforts to maintain a leading position in a variety of emerging standards areas that fully expand the Java language, service-oriented architecture (SOA), Web 2.0 and security.

By leveraging Oracle Fusion middleware to promote and support open technology standards, Oracle can help its customers and partners reduce application development time and maintenance costs, increase interoperability between systems, and ensure reuse of applications-helping to increase the value of existing IT investments while preventing vendor lock-in. Oracle will further promote, develop and support the following new open standards in Oracle converged middleware:

• Next-generation Java language application development

To simplify the process of developing data-intensive applications, Oracle supports Java Server Faces, Apache Struts, JPA, EJB 3.0, SDO, O-r, and o-xml mappings, rest, and spring Framework2.0.

XHTML, DHTML, JSR-168, JSR-170, and Adobe Flash.

• Enterprise security and service-oriented architecture (SOA) security

To maintain service-oriented applications and support secure "enterprise to Enterprise" interactions, Oracle supports a number of key standards such as ws-security, SAML 2.0, ws-fed, Ws-trust, XKMS, XACML, SPML, XML Enc, Xml-sig and DSML.
