On Monday, Oracle announced the beta version of Oracle Database 11g at its user conference.

Speaking at the Oracle OpenWorld conference, Chuck Rozwat, executive vice president of server technology at Oracle, said, oracle Database 11g of Beta contains 182 new features designed to solve a series of Database problems, from keeping more information to data compression and processing parallel updates.
